HOW EVERYTHING STARTED
Acting fascinated me at a young age. I remeber, always playing different roles in my childhood and being in front of the camera. It fascinated me how different people are, how different they acted and reacted, how different their mind worked. I liked to slip into someone else for a short period of time. In my childhood I did a lot of dacning, singing and I was in a theatre club in elementary school. Being creative active was very important for me because I was bored with rational stuff. Whenever I wrote into a friend book I always wrote under the section “What do you want to became in the future?”, I either wrote singer or actress.
Later on, in secondary school I was also in a theatre club but quit soon because I didn’t like how they proceeded. I still wanted to do something similar but I knew my parents would never approve this choice, they would rather want to see me in an office job.
So, when I graduated secondary school I applied for office jobs but didn’t get one and that’s why I decided to go on a vocational college with the focus of foreign languages. These two years showed me again what I loved, to play with different languages and I thought about studying languages but sooner or later I realized that’s not what I wanted to do. I was pressured because I had to find something quickly and then my childhood dream came back into my mind so I started to search for acting schools in my surrounding. In a matter of days I applied by different acting schools until I got a space at an acting school in Stuttgart. I started to study acting.
And so, my journey of becoming an actress began.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT ACTING?
What fascinates me about acting? Well, to be honest there are a lot of reasons I am intruiged by acting.
First of all, acting is so pure for me and it feels more real to me like doing an office job. It’s just about being human and feeling everything that’s supposed to be a part of daily life. While acting, you get to experience so many different emotions and situations daily and it’s just truthful.
Second of all, I love to watch movies (but who doesn’t). But I love to watch movie which are emotional and make me feel something or leave me speachless. I want to be touched while watching a movie, I want to feel with the characters on screen and sympathize with them. I want to live their experience.
Acting is just being human for me because you’re displaying daily situations and relationships, only in different characters. Sometimes I even like it so dive deep into a character and forget about myself. Just to be present in another person and seeing and feeling everything from a differen point of view. It’s about understanding different kinds of people and learning how unique everyone is or what makes a character unique. For example a special traits or a nervous habit, movements, speaking, a unqiue voice pattern, an accent, reflexes. These are all things which make a character come to live and make him human because deep down everyone has something special to him.
I like it to experience different kinds of emotion even ones I have never felt before or put me in situations I have never been before. Acting is pushing through your comfort zones and about growing as a person. I like that you’re always trying to push yourself harder to get better and get out of your comfort zones and overcome fear. Because growths only happens if you push through your biggest fears. That’s why I like to put myself into situations where I am not quiet comfortable because deep down I know the outcome is going to be great.
